The great reformer, Martin Luther, said, “Prayer is not overcoming God’s reluctance, but laying hold of His willingness.” Our two most common mistakes as we face our problems or burdens are: (1) trying to handle the situation ourselves without appealing to the Father or (2) thinking we have to beg God to intervene. Remember God loves us. He wants to bless us. He wants us to rely on Him, trusting Him for our answers. The next time you face a difficult situation, begin your conversation with the Father with praise knowing He is listening and wants only the best for you.
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Susan
